With only a few ingredients, that you probably always have in your kitchen, this is one to print out (of just devote a tiny slice of brain space for... that's how easy it is!)
INGREDIENTS
1 stick unsalted butter
6 eggs
1.5 cups whole milk
1.5 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
*lemon, maple syrup, fruit, and powdered sugar all optional and highly recommended
PREHEAT oven to 425
MELT butter in a 9x13 (I use glass, not sure if metal would work differently) pyrex
--be careful! It's very easy to go from melting melting melting melting *looks away for 1 minute* BURNT on the butter
BEAT all the other ingredients together
POUR the batter on top of the melted butter
Check out the pic again for the differences in the edge and middle colors to help you cook yours perfectly.... ohhhhhh YUM!
When it comes out of the oven you need to be READY to eat! Have everything else prepped that you want for breakfast or brunch, slice that sucker and go!
I like to drizzle lemon juice on the entire DB before I cut it, and then set out the other adds for people to choose for themselves.
Anything that you'd put on a pancake or waffle is fair game here...
we use fresh berries, a dash of powdered sugar and a healthy (read as: generous) drizzle of maple syrup!
DEEEEEEELIGHTFUL Dutch Baby! Whether you're making breakfast for your family or a small group, this is a beautiful way to start your day :)
Happy Brunching!
